I did over my 5% on faction wars boss to get my point, However, after the boss had died i was removed from the guild. When i attempt to claim this, I now get a
"Sorry, but it looks like there is a problem with your request. Please contact us if the problem persists. "
Page popping up instead of being able to claim.

I've had that problem before, usually I would do my damage on a boss then would have to leave for another guild, so I couldn't claim it. When you join another guild, claim the prize again and you will get it. If you need the prize right away, just make a temp guild and claim it, and you will get it.
