i am having a problem accessing the game over the last few hours no matter what browser i am using as are many others in my guild. Then once we do get in we are timed out from server...Help please and thank you

In a related subject, but slightly different problem........


Are there any magical IT elves out there that could provide a miracle solution the the problem I and many others are having with chrome... When playing the page freezes, then an aw snap message appears and I have to reload the page. I have hunted around on the chrome forums and haven't yet found a solution. Yes I can use FireFox instead, but it so much slower than chrome.

Please bear in mind that if you have a magical cure, the explanation should be given in idiotese as I am a computard!

Tonks I play on chrome and got that problem recently too - a defrag, virus scan and disc clean up then a reboot seemed to fix it

Tonks, I have had the same problem in recent days. Sometimes guild chat will be buzzing, i minimize the page to do something else on the pc, then I notice it has gotten too quiet...and it is because the darn chrome page froze again. I've hunted around as well, no luck. I like using google chrome for fb as opposed to firefox. I've run the antivirus and spyware removers just to be safe, but neither one has come up with anything.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I have done the following to no avail...

disk clean up
shouted at computer
made tea
cleared Cache
virus scan
made tea
turned computer off and on again
defrag (whatever that is... i pressed a button)
shouted again
broke out the easter eggs early
uninstalled Chrome.... reinstalled chrome
made tea
removed add ons ... disk clean up..... cleared cache .......something with the registry ... rebooted chrome
started on the beer
used fire fox

The last seemed to solve the problem

I have found a better solution than FireFox (thanks to Train from ECF)

Go offline on chat!

You can still use chat facility, you just need to go online and open up the chat groups and anyone you chat to in pm, then go offline to chat. Since doing this I have been freeze free
