Wow, I've already been playing less and less. Maybe it's time to just put it to rest.

That statement can only come from an employee, why you so concerned that pm gets paid...your paycheck depend on it? Whether anybody believes pm didn't know is irrelevant, fact is they want to get paid at the end of the day...and this pretty much guarantees, they can't lose...midas you talking about lvl 8 shop having better stuff, or new change shop....also where is it mentioned they are increasing better odds for quality gem recruits?

You farm Mine on weekend, wait for 6* card in guildshop, buy 4 of them and make 8*. How this bring money to PM? You don't spend gems on any of this steps.
If you look at this from Playmage side, you will see that it replace Gem Recruit for top players.

This almost instant creation of 8* cards - is that make current system imbalanced.

With new shop players will have lots of different 6* cards and value of Gem Recruit will be high, as way to make 7* and 8*

As abundantly stated on this forum most players have no intention on spending gems on gem recruiting. No one wants to spend 50$ to only get a single 6* card that should only ever be used to feed another card. This wont restore the gem recruiting , they would lose a great deal of money since it would alienate most of the high level players that paid for the dev teams last vacation with the last guild war and the fact that I'm sure the guild shop reset are worth some amount of gems to them. Gem recruiting can't even really be called gambling, just throwing money away. Gem recruiting is the result of new players trying it and getting burned by PM.

As you see - whole gameplay depends on it. It's core mechanic of any Free2Play game.
So you need to calculate it, if you want to understand that developers will do next.

Yes, with current situation high players never spend gems, because they will wait to buy four 6* from shop.
So you can get 8* without spending gems = no profit to PM.

PM want to change this, so to get 8* you need to spend gems. Or wait very-very long time.

First you say that high players don't spend money on gems, now you say that they spend money on gems ...
Can you decide - they spend or not?)

You see - I'm not protecting PM.
I just explain to you why they do this. And show errors in your statements.
That's all)

They spent the gems on guild wars not on gem recruiting. You know that if you want to troll then pick a different post.

It's funny I always thought Midas was an employee also based off the overly defensive posts in the forums. I have to say really turned off from another change that is negative to players. It seems like PM is taking the route of milking the hardcore player base and less focus on increasing the overall player base which is way more healthier for the game and makes more money.

You can't blame admins, so yeah - let's blame me) It was I who started this topic, I suggested to admins nerf shop and threatened to leave if they don't.
You are truly primitive .. it's so funny.

I don't think it should change to only be able to buy baby dragons and materials once each refresh. I like that a lot, I use that a lot.can't the bug get fixed without limiting the buys of cards each refresh? Please please please!

It just sucks for new players (like myself) because we will have a much tougher time constructing 7*/8* cards VS the players who had this available for a long time. [Advantage Issue]
Midas, don't take it personal, everyone is just taking out their anger about the news on you.

Perhaps gold in app purchases are only at 5% because it is a blatant rip off. Something to consider playmage.

To the topic at hand perhaps an easier solution would have been to release a lot more cards. More 8* cards and maybe introduce 9* cards. The card library and skill set is pretty limited.
