How does Poison work?

As far as I've seen there are cards with different Poison levels (just light and heavy, don't know If there Is also small or great).
How does it work? As a % or as a damage?

It appears to be something along the lines of a multiplier of the card's attack power. For example, the cobra poison is 255 if I recall which is 1*attack. A level 41 snake spirit immortal is 2345 which is 5*attack. I'd assume that the same formula would apply to other cards such as maiden of darkness, lotus, necromancer...maybe someone else can confirm.

Exactly.
Snake Spirit poison is x5 her attack. Not counting any bonuses from guild or other sources!
It's Venom Field skill - "Cause all enemies to be heavily poisoned"

Same as Snake Spirit Immortal and Necromancer.

Cobra has other skill - Poison Gas, that deal damage x1 per attack.

There is moderate poison damage skill such as flesh lotus and some other cards. It works on the same principle with it being 2xattack.

No poison is unaffected by all other multipliers or defense.

Not sure I said that clearly but Moderate poison damage seems to be 2X the attack value of the card. And yes poison seems to be unaffected by all other multipliers and defense.
