What does the 11 hours left mean?

Also sometimes the friendship card I was using just disappears even if it had 11 hours left and I check and I'm still friends with that person and he's still using the same card.

Any insight on this matter?

You can use a players leader card for up to 12 hours of their last recorded activity. If they don't play for 12 hours, they drop off the list.

Another reason for someone dropping off the list is if 20 other people play on your friends list in that 12 hour period.

I hope that made sense.

In friends list you will see only 25 players.
This 25 chosen randomly from all your friends that logged at least 12 hours ago. Guild friends have more chances to appear there.

Usually when you select friend and play this list reshuffled. This is the reason why some of them disappear.
But I can't find how often - by time intervals or by number of runs.

I'm under the impression it's 'who played most recent'?

I've done no huge amount of home work, but every time I notice someone actually playing the game (friendship logged in by X minutes), they're on the friends card list, not someone from 6+ hours ago.

It basically picks the 20 most recently logged in friends that have logged in within the last 12 hours.

So that's the secret!

It really take 25 most recently logged players from your friend list.
