There is no method mate.

Try combinations with different cards, and you can find out after a while, which card is stronger than the other, and what card beats another. Then you can make your arena team.

Cards strength in arena are determined by the card's stats (hp, attack and recovery)

Then how did a snake spirit beat a 7* light priestess the snake spirit has little to no recovery and the priestess has 400+ recovery

There are other factors that have an effect too, such as the level of the guild. We've all been through the same thing, it's just a matter of experimenting with the cards you have, as mentioned previously.
When I first started playing the arena and didn't have many good cards I found that using several healer cards did quite well so that's worth a try.

That might be due to the 7* light priestess not being fully levelled and them being a regular member instead of a star member (Which I'm presuming that you are).

What also plays a big factor is keeping your winning streak going as long as you can for the highest points once you break it you have to build it up again

Hi david22, just as Tasov said, "Winning consecutively grants bonus points equal to number of consecutive wins on each win, up to 20 bonus points." If you lose one battle, you will have 0 bonus points when you win again while the players who haven't lost will still have 20 bonus points.
Enjoy the game!
