What's with lowering the points awarded in the new guild war?

It's now giving around 140 points less when clearing it. That sucks and just seems like a cheap tactic to make players use more gems.

Yeah, you guys weren't kidding when you said future guild war bosses would be less fun, oh, wait, I mean "harder." Atalanta starts off hitting about twice as hard as Sif did, she "randomly" seals half your team for five turns (I've played it twice and both times, she hit BOTH my leaders, instantly doing nearly 60,000 "damage"), she brutals for 80,000 as opposed to the 64,000 that previous bosses did, AND, on top of all of that, as mistervista pointed out, she gives about 140-150 fewer guild points for beating her.

Don't you guys think that's a bit much?

I know you guys are doing this to get people to buy gems and potions, but for the record, I am vowing that I will not spend any money to get this boss. I only spend money on things I need or think I'll enjoy, and this guild boss fits neither category.

I have noticed guild points on war are low or anyone else notice that?

Yes it seems so - I got 1164 for kill - looks like they are trying to squeeze more gold purchases from the players.
AN alternate view is that they are reducing the obscenely high points totals of the top guilds?

If i remember correct guild points we get now are on that same results that guild war bosses was giving long time ago. There was moment when rewarded points was rised & now they lowered it again to previous value.

even back then it was over 1,200 points for a kill

Sorry for the confusion. The new boss total HP was bumped up to 5M from 4M to maintain the similar GW points total in the new equation, but the HP increase was left out when deploying the boss, causing up to 144 points lower for players capable of defeating the 5M boss. This has now been corrected. If anyone defeated the boss before this correction ends up less than 150 points short from a reward tier, please contact us at support@playmage.com at end of the war so we can adjust it for you.
