Can't access the game.

I can't log into the game. I've tried for ~1hr now and the game keeps freezing on the title screen with the busty pirate lady while the word "connecting..." continues to roll. My Internet is working fine (evidenced by me posting in this forum as well as being able to access everything else on my tablet).

Should I continue to wait? If i uninstall the app, then reinstall it, will my data be unaffected? My shop is about to refresh and I've got more than enough e to lvl up wasting away atm.
