I have 2 7* Loki cards that I plan on evolving to the 8* version... But I dont want to loose my skill level. Will my skill level reset if I evolve the card, even though the skill name will remain the same? Example: skill is Malicious 5/5. If I evolve the Loki card will the Malicious skill reset to 1/5? Or will it remain 5/5 since the skill doesn't change?

If it is the same skill name, you should not lose it when evolving. To verify, you should be able to see both cards on the evolve screen showing the current and new (or same) skill level on the card that is being evolved into.

For skills that change names, why not roll a percentage (up to 50-75%) of the acquired skills to the new card?
