Reels problem

During Raid Bosses and Guild Wars the reels constantly show chests where they end up blocking potentially strong attacks for no apparent reason as the two stages don't give out chests. In bad reels 6 things appear that are worthless (2 being Free Spins, but they don't overly add to the problem) and just get in the way. Is the possible to have it programmed so that chests DON'T appear in those stages?

The way it works is something like this: the game has different matching patters with a probability assigned for each of them (including a pattern with no matching symbols). These patters/probabilities change according to the number number of lines and whether there is an effect in play that increases the chance of a certain symbol. Each turn the game generates one of those patterns at random based on the probabilities and fills the rest of the symbols at random. Since there are usually 10+ unmatching symbols to fill it's very likely that around 2-4 chest/free spin symbols are generated, as long as none of them reaches 3 symbols individually.

If there's something that I personally don't like, it's the fact that this very often results on panels with two brown/gold chests or two free spin symbols, which suggest that the player is coming much closer to getting 3 chest symbols to drop than he/she actually may be, especially if the map has no more chests to drop. It could be misleading to the new players that are not familiar with the mechanics. An improvement could be increasing the odds of the unmatching symbols being filled with regular symbols and/or completely getting rid of chest symbols when all the map's chests have already dropped. But this is certainly not a priority anyway.

I'm not sure that you realize the problem Jorge, the problem is that with teams that include board reset cards (like the chess pieces/rider cards) the random chests/free spins can make it so that no matter what there is no chance of having a decent spin (since the chests/free spins can't change to the symbols you would like)... if there is a column in any of the first 3 rows, of either chests/free spins then there is no chance of the board resets giving you any attack. Also, even if the chests/free spins don't completely block the board resets, they can limit the lines that could be used

Yeah Robert, I'm perfectly aware of that since I've suffered it a few times already. It's just that I don't personally consider it a design flaw, just a mechanic that doesn't benefit the players. I'm fine with board reset skills not replacing chest symbols since it could be a bit confusing to new players and these symbols are supposed to be an special kind of symbols for that matter. However, what I said is that I don't agree with how these symbols are being abused by the "randomly fill with anything" mechanic, which also happens to be spoiling board reset skills and it's definitely annoying. For example, I don't think it's a fair design that a pair of gold chests show up in pretty much half the panels since it doesn't give a fair approximation of how we should expect to see a trio of gold chests.

Are we forgetting that when spinning the reels, that it is similar to when you spin the reels on a slot machine? Based on chance, luck and probability? In my honest opinion... I don't care to have the chest in there too, as it can possibly mess up when using the board reset cards. However, if they do remove them... it just means that it would be replaced by a different element symbol which doesn't always guarantee that the reset you're looking for will occupy that spot and make a connection. It's a gamble people... I don't think these kind of requests are made on casino slot machines, are they? I've never heard of that...

What about the complete and total lack of Hearts from spins on Facebook? On mobile... I almost wish the hearts would STOP hitting on spins sometimes; whereas on Facebook, it takes an act of Congress to get hearts from a normal spin!

Hi ruffriders23, the matching rate of heart symbol is the same on Facebook. The matching rates and payout for each symbol are all the same with or without chest symbols appearing.

I don't know about that... quite often we do get them easily on mobile... but Facebook... we get them, but seldom.

Also, I can get back to back (stacked) multiple free spins on mobile... but NEVER on Facebook.
