Soo I equipped Sara with a crit weapon gem and crit would stones. I did 10 practice fights on the same person with crit stuff equiped and 10 more unequiped. I got far fewer crit hits with my crit gear equiped. This is the opposite of what should be happening. Am I missing something?

What does it say for "critical rate" stat on your character screen before and after? If the number is not significant enough then 10 fight sample may not be big enough sample to rule out randomness factor, especially as critical don't happen that often for Sara since her attacks are single hits. Note it's also better to test against mobs instead of players as heroes can have crit def stat that negates crit rate bonuses.

Stat is 182 unequiped and 305 when equiped. Tried it on relic hunt mobs and quest mobs many many time's. Still see no difference. I also tried on pet raid bosses

That different isn't very high considering your Sara is at already at very high level. Most of the "rate" stats are divided by a multiple of your character level, and at level 46, critical rate of 305 and 182 only yields about 5% difference in actual critical % chance. Depending on the opponent's critical defense and your level differential (you get bonus on many rate/stats against lower level enemy), it can be very hard to notice without a huge accurate sample size to rule out randomness and other factors.
