Hi Donkeypunch,
The main battle mechanics of the game (used everywhere except in Relic Hunts) is called Conditional Turn-Based system (CBT), where time is actual perpetual continuum so faster characters can lap over slower ones. Since Relic Hunt is mutliplayer co-op mechanic, we used the more traditional Turn-Based system where each hero and opponent will to act once within one turn (unless frozen/dizzy etc) with character speed determining who goes first only. This is why Devil Fairy's additional delay affect isn't useful in Relic Hunts.
