I cant change my player name anymore. I thought it was because my level was higher, but ive seen higher level players change theirs and was wondering how they did it? Its not under the guardian tab anymore.

It's intentionally hidden. If you click the "need more gems" link from the inventory screen (next to premium items), you will go into a guardian screen that still has the name change option.
