There are a few ways to increase your energy.
There is an item you can buy with gems that boosts your max energy (and current energy) by 30....it is probably the most valuable and useful item you can buy with gems....so grab it asap.
There are virtual members you can also buy with gems that give 2 max energy per member. I suggest saving up and buying 5 at once (for only 40 gems). That is a net savings of 20 gems and gives you 10 additional max energy.
As you level your max energy will natural increase as well.
For current energy you can buy it from the healer (it's not very cost efficient though), you can toss money into the well (about a 50% chance of getting 3 energy out...but it's only a net bonus of 2 energy due to the 1 point spent finding the well), you can eat the mushrooms *is a yummy garlic butter sauce*...and you can wait 6 minutes and gain one naturally.
Think thats pretty much all the ways to gain energy and increase your max energy.
