OK, It seems I took too many Imp quests, and the Girl in red auto attacks me every time I see her. Is it possible to patch things up with her? I've attacked the gambler atleast twice and he still rolls the bones with me.

keep beating up the imp, and running away from the girl in red..

if i remember right, as long as you've beaten the girl in red more times than the imp, she'll attack you, so you need to now beat the imp the same number of times to balance things up.

What's the deal with the Dust Merchant? I get that if I give her half my money she gives me some kind of dust.
So, what's the dust do and is it worth half my money?
Does it change the strength/amount of dust I get if she gets more money?

I only ask because I had a chance to trade with her but was saving for a sword and fought her instead...

The dust merchant takes 1/2 of your money for "fairy dust". - One fairy dust restores your skill points.
you can see the price of fairy dust at the healer in your current city/town/... whatever location.
if you have few coins, it might be a good deal (especially if you have few skill points). but in most cases
its better to mess with her
