Let's cut to the chase. We can all agree that the current guild war reward design has some serious flaws. It sees a sample group size forking out tons of money for a "chance" to take 1st or 2nd, while others never bother to spend because they have no chance of taking home a 7 star card to begin with. So how can we level this playing field, enhance the guild war experience, maintain some competition and continue to make the game profitable?
Give EVERY guild an obtainable target EVERY war to secure themselves a 7 star card. So what is an obtainable Target? That's debatable, but after having spoken to several other guilds, 25k per person sounds reasonable. So 32 person guild would need to generate 800k in Guild Points in order to reward their team with 7 star cards. Top 2 people per guild with over 50k still eligible for second 7 star card.
What this will accomplish is:
a) No one feels totally ripped off when they spend big money and don't take 1st or 2nd in the war overall
b) Everyone has the ability to secure 7 star cards for their team
c) Top 10 guilds (Even lower) will be encouraged to spend to hit the 800k target, spending more money on gems
d) Overall guild war will be more profitable as there will be MULTIPLE revenue streams, as opposed to the same gang of people that dump their cash into the wars
We believe this type of dynamic will enhance the overall guild war experience, encourage participation, drive revenue and enhance the morale amongst players.
