BUG - Experience For Monster Arena Kills Is Wrong

BUG - Experience For Monster Arena Kills Is Wrong

Postby Solomon Grundy » Mon Apr 21, 2014 1:22 am

These are the exp values I received in the Monster Arena for each kill. I am level 95, with a 487.8% total experience bonus from all sources.

Time Bunny - 9,130,423,933,184
Demon Hunter - 18,260,847,271,866,370 (seems to be 2x the Time Bunny exp)
Lake Demon - 27,391,271,799,556 ( seems to be 3x the Time Bunny exp)
Alcon Blade - 18,260,847,866,371 (back to 2x the Time Bunny exp... for a harder monster than the 3x?)
Lady Slicealot - 45,652,119,665,926 (seems to be 5x the Time Bunny exp.. was Alcon Blade's exp meant to be 4x?)
Morilith - 27,391.271,799,556 (back to 3x the Time Bunny exp... why less exp for a higher monster?)
Demon Jawba - 31,956,463,766,149 - (3.5x Time Bunny exp - why is this less than Lady Slicealot?)
Frozen Pride - 36,521,695,732,742 (4x Time Bunny exp - why is this less than Lady Slicealot?)
Princess Anithea - 41,086,907,699,335 - (4.5x Time Bunny exp? Why is this less than Lady Slicealot?)

i cannot help but think that the experience point values for Alcon Blade, Morilith, Demon Jawba, Frozen Pride, and Princess Anithea are bugged. Why is Princess Anithea, a monster who takes me 55 or so hits and a few Guardian Dolls, giving me less experience than Lady Slicealot, who I can kill in a single talisman hit? It does not make any sense whatsoever. The monsters get harder as you go, and the experience values should be reflecting the gradual rise in difficulty. It also seems to me that the 5 monsters with incorrect values should be giving exactly 2x the amount of experience points that they are, which would make things work the way it looks like it was meant to, with each monster adding another 1x the amount of the TIme Bunny kill, so that Alcon Blade would be 4x, Morilith would be 6x, Demon Jawba would be 7x, Frozen Pride would be 8x, and Princess Anithea would be 9x.

I had a level 100 guildmate give me their numbers, and their values look like this. Their experience bonus is 416%, and unlike me, they did not have genius.

Time Bunny - 12,822,579,023,632
Demon Hunter - 25,645,158,047,264 (2x TIme Bunny exp)
Lake Demon - 38,467,737,070,896 (3x Time Bunny exp)
Alcon Blade - 51,290,316,094,528 (4x Time Bunny exp - Exp did not drop like in my data)
Lady Slicealot - 64,112,895,118,162 (5x Time Bunny exp)
Morilith - 76,935,474,141,794 (6x Time Bunny exp - Exp did not drop like in my data)
Demon Jawba - 89,758,053,165,426 (7x Time Bunny exp - Exp did not drop like in my data)
Frozen Pride - 51,290,316,094,529 (4x Time Bunny exp - I believe this should be 8x)
Princess Anithea - 57,701,605,606,345 (4.5x Time Bunny exp - I believe this should be 9x)

Their values seem to escalate up until Frozen Pride and Princess Anithea, where the apparent drop in half of what the value should be occurs. Why are they not experiencing the drops on Lady Alcon, Morilith, and Demon Jawba that I am? Power finishes are not possible in the arena, so they do not explain these discrepancies. I would appreciate your investigating and correcting these issues.

Why isn't power finish bonus not possible in the Monster Arena? They are quite possible for earlier ones if you are strong enough and it's likely what's happening here.

I've checked it two more times, and found that power finishes are indeed at the root of the problem. What is happening is that power finishes are not being displayed in the arena at all when you perform one. That is what is making the experience seem to be wrong. Can you fix this so that they show up?

Same thing for me, I've never seen the power finish message...I could probably power finish the first monster with a wooden stick
So you actually get the XP bonus for power finishing without it saying so on the screen? Wish I knew that!

You received 9,990,485,778,362 experience!
You received 19,980,971,556,724 experience!
You received 29,971,457,335,086 experience!
You received 39,961,943,113,448 experience!
You received 49,952,428,891,810 experience!
You received 59,942,914,670,172 experience!
You received 69,933,400,448,536 experience!
You received 79,923,886,226,898 experience!
You received 44,957,186,002,630 experience!

All minus Anithea, half the time it seems pretty obvious that you power finish them. It does seem kinda pointless adding the Power Finish when you can also see it

A lot of people had no idea that these monsters awarded power finish exp, given that the power finish message does not show here, as it does everywhere else. Fixing it just makes it work the way the rest of the game does, in regards to displaying the message.
